Over at MomDot, I won a contest for a Bath Luve before Aubrey was born. The concept sounded like an excellent one and I couldn’t wait for the chance to try it out. The designs are adorable-you can choose from a duck, frog, or fish-all made from 100% cotton. Amy Seckinger created the Bath Luve after her son Austin was born. She realized the drastic temperature change was the reasoning behind all the frustrations and created a cloth covering to help soothe baby and keep warm at the same time. The Luve is draped over baby’s torso and stays in place, ensuring baby feels warm and secure.
It came time for Aubrey’s first bathtime. At first, she of course, became frustrated the second her back hit the water. I quickly soaked the Luve in the warm water and then draped it over her belly. No joke-She instantly calmed down! I was able to get through bath time without a fight or feeling bad listening to baby cry. Oh how I wished I had the chance to experience the Bath Luve with Kelsie!

I would give it to my friend, CC, b/c she’s struggled with infertility for many many years and has recently found out she’s finally pregnant. She’s due in June but we’ll be having a shower for her in the spring so this would be a perfect gift for the wee one.
