Reusable bags have become one of the easiest trends to follow when taking the steps to help protect our environment. If you aren’t quite sure what steps you can take to Go Green, this is one of the first and easiest steps you can begin with.

LTDChix is doing their part in the effort to go green. If you have seen the LTDChix site before, you know they are all about Moms and our “dream” life of being Moms. We do do it all. Nina Frye and Cindi Schmitzer weaved a company all of their own to celebrate all that Moms truly do.

We came up with our slightly sarcastic theme – “Living The Dream“ – and then created our signature Mom, who is shown on our shirts overwhelmed and in various situations, smiling her way through daily life.

So how is LTDChix going green? They have just introduced a line of eco-friendly reusable shopping bags
complete with Mom “Living The Dream”.

Not only do these bags help reduce trash and waste, they can hold up to 40 lbs. That is over TWICE the amount a typical plastic bag can handle.

Plastic bags aren’t biodegradable. They actually go through a process called photodegradation—breaking down into smaller and smaller toxic particles that contaminate both soil and water, and end up entering the food chain when animals accidentally ingest them.

Hundreds of thousands of whales, dolphins, sea turtles and other marine mammals die every year after eating discarded plastic bags they mistake for food.

Experts estimate that 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed and discarded annually worldwide—more than a million per minute.
